Mysterio and Nick Fury Interrupt Spidey’s European Vacation in Spider-Man: Far From Home (Trailer)

It’s unclear how Peter Parker (Tom Holland) and the rest of the fallen Avengers will return to existence but Pete is alive and well in the first trailer for Spider-Man: Far From Home.  Taking a class trip to Europe with Ned (Jacob Batalon), MJ (Zendaya), Flash (Tony Revolori) and the rest of his classmates, the fun gets interrupted when Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) recruits Spider-Man to deal with the threat of the mysterious Elementals attacking various cities and Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal), a villainous magic user who seems to be, in the trailer at least, fighting the Elementals but, given his comic history, it’s all probably some elaborate illusion.  Cobie Smulders is showing up as Maria Hill and Jon Favreau and Marisa Tomei are back as well with Jon Watts back in the director’s chair but there isn’t any indication if “Karen” (Jennifer Connelly) will be back as the AI for either of Peter’s new suits (or if his new suits even have AI).  The movie arrives on July 5th and you can check out the trailer below.
