Kate is a is like a punk rocker star with a careless attitude and a spikey leather jacket. Kate finds comfort in the spotlight as Calamity Kate, building up her reputation with each successful battle. Corin Howell and Valentina Pinto wonderfully show off Kate’s prowess as a hunter and a messy house guest. Howell draws some great expressive work as Kate channels her inner warrior spirit and hilariously convents Vera ‘s frustration. Calamity Kate #1 is a great introduction to a fun story, setting up a grand adventure that will put Kate against fierce foes, a powerful rival and maybe some better cleaning habits.
