It’s a Gatorcane in Crawl (Trailer)

Piranha 3D (and The Hills Have Eyes) director Alexandre Aja is back with a new aquatic horror in Crawl.  Kaya Scodelario plays Haley Keller, who returns to her hometown in Florida as a Category 5 hurricane is bearing down to make sure her father Dave (Barry Pepper) gets out OK but she finds him trapped and injured in the crawl space of his house with floodwater rising.  As if that wasn’t bad enough, a group of alligators arrive with the rising water, attacking and devouring anyone in their path.  Sam Raimi is a producer and it looks like he and Aja are going for something more along the lines of the Evil Dead remake or Don’t Breathe as opposed to the glorious insanity of Piranha but still seemingly pretty awesome (we’re always down for a good creature feature).  The movie is out on July 12th and you can check out the trailer below.
