While Kate is brave enough to take on giant creatures, she still has a vulnerable side and struggles to get over an ex. Corin Howell and Valentina Pinto bloody visuals aid in expressing Kate’s frustrations. The sequences of Kate getting covered in blood and remembering painful marriage moments strikes an emotional chord with anyone that’s ever had a couple’s argument. This issue is raw and intense and perfectly captures what makes Kate the complicated characters she is.
