Blumhouse Wishes You a Black Christmas (Trailer)
After bringing back Halloween last year, Blumhouse is reviving another iconic slasher, Black Christmas, just in time for Christmas this year. This is actually the second time Black Christmas has been remade, with a version in 2006 starring Mary Elizabeth Winstead, and many horror fans consider the original Black Christmas the first true slasher movie, proceeding Halloween by four years in 1974. Imogen Poots stars in the new Black Christmas as Riley Stone, a member of the Mu Kappa Epsilon sorority at Hawthorne College. The fall semester wraps up and everyone is having some holiday fun before heading home but a deadly killer starts stalking and killing the sorority sisters one by one. Lily Donoghue, Brittany O’Grady, Aleyse Shannon, and Cary Elwes co-star and it’s directed by Sophia Takal, who most recently directed the “New Year, New You” edition of Blumhouse’s Into the Dark. The new Black Christmas is out on December 13th (Friday the 13th!) and you can check out the trailer below.
