Tom Cruise is Back in the Cockpit Next Summer with Top Gun: Maverick (Trailer)

Tom Cruise is back behind the stick as one of his most iconic characters returns next summer in Top Gun: Maverick.  After thirty years as a test pilot, Pete “Maverick” Mitchell is called back to Top Gun to train a new group of aviators for a dangerous new mission. One of the recruits is Bradley “Rooster” Bradshaw (Miles Teller), the son of Maverick’s best friend and co-pilot Goose, who we all know died tragically in the first movie.  Jon Hamm, Jennifer Connelly, Glen Powell, Lewis Pullman, Ed Harris, Manny Jacinto and Monica Barbaro co-star with Val Kilmer also returning to reprise his role as Tom “Iceman” Kazansky.  Cruise reunites with his Oblivion director Joseph Kosinski and it looks like definitely one of the reasons to see this movie on the big screen is what looks like incredible sequences of the dogfighting and jet piloting, where it seems like Cruise and his co-stars actually are piloting the jets and the cameras are positioned so you are seeing everything.  The movie arrives on June 26th next year and you can check out the new trailer below.
