The Prey Puts a Cambodian Spin On The Most Dangerous Game (Trailer)

We saw Quibi put their spin on The Most Dangerous Game with Liam Hemsworth and Christoph Waltz earlier this year when that now floundering streaming service launched but action director/writer Jimmy Henderson is putting a Cambodian spin on Richard Connell’s classic tale with The Prey.  Newcomer Gu Shangwei stars as undercover Chinese cop Xin.  While on a surprise raid, he’s captured and finds himself in a deadly Cambodia jungle prison run by a warden (Only God Forgives’ Vithaya Pansringarm), who sells prisoners to big game hunters looking to hunt the ultimate prey.  Xin becomes one of the hunted and has to fight his way out.  Henderson previously directed the movie Jailbreak, which is currently available to stream on Netflix.  The Prey is coming to Virtual Cinemas like Laemmle in Los Angeles and Alamo on Demand in New York on August 21st and will be available On Demand on August 25th.  Check out the trailer below.
