World War II Gets Animated with The Liberator (Trailer)
Netflix’s new World War II series The Liberator seems like what might happen if you mashed up Band of Brothers and A Scanner Darkly as it features rotoscoped animation to tell the story of the Thunderbirds, a unit from Oklahoma that landed in Sicily and spent 500 bloody days batlting through Europe. The interesting thing about the Thunderbirds is that the squad was a mix of Mexican Americans, Native Americans and Dust Bowl cowboys that would never have even associated with each other back in the US but they became brothers in the crucible of battle. The show will be four episodes that will arrive on Veterans Day, November 11th, next month. Check out the trailer below.
