Training Day Meets The Exorcist in The Seventh Day (Trailer)

There’s been a ton of exorcism movies over the years but the upcoming entry The Seventh Day seems to be differentiating itself by injecting some Training Day/David Ayer style cop dynamics to the proceedings.  Rookie priest and exorcist Father Daniel (Vadhir Derbez) is paired with veteran exorcist Father Peter (Guy Pearce) and together they track down demonic possessions that seem to be linked to one powerful demon training to build an army.  Stephen Lang and Keith David co-star and the cop dynamic definitely makes it seem a lot more interesting than some of the other exorcism movies in recent years that play off the same tropes and are pale imitators of The Exorcist.  The movie is directed by Justin P. Lange, who previously directed 2018’s The Dark.  The Seventh Day is out on March 26th and you can check out the trailer below.
