The Eternals Are Revealed in the MCU in November (Trailer)
Fresh off her Oscar win, director Chloe Zhao is bringing the immortal aliens known as The Eternals into the MCU in November. Originally created by the King, Jack Kirby, in the 1970s, the Eternals were one of two groups created by the Celesitals, the other being the evil Deviants. The Eternals were tasked with being defenders of Earth and the movie version sets up that a group of them arrived on Earth extremely early on in humanity’s history and was secretly guiding humanity’s evolution over eons. Richard Madden, Gemma Chan, Kumail Nanjiani, Lia McHugh, Brian Tyree Henry, Lauren Ridloff, Barry Keoghan, Don Lee, Salma Hayek and Angelina Jolie are the Eternals with Kit Harrington co-starring as a human warrior. This first trailer seems to mainly be setting up the vibe and visual style of the movie, which looks pretty great, but there isn’t a lot of plot detail yet, especially the threat that forces The Eternals to break their promise to never interfere with human affairs. The movie is out on November 5th and you can check out the first trailer below.
