Steven Soderbergh Brings A Heist Gone Wrong to HBO Max with No Sudden Move (Trailer)
From Ocean’s 11 through Logan Lucky, Steven Soderbergh seems to love his crime/heist movies and he’s bringing a new one exclusively to HBO Max in July with No Sudden Move. Don Cheadle leads an all-star cast that includes Benicio Del Toro, Jon Hamm, David Harbour, Kieran Culkin, Ray Liotta, Amy Seimetz, Julia Fox, Brendan Fraser, and Noah Jupe and the movie is set in 1955 Detroit where a group of small-time thieves is hired to steal some up and coming car technology. What seems like a simple job goes wrong and the gang of crooks has to stay ahead of the cops and figure out who hired them and why they seemingly got set up. It looks like Soderbergh has been possibly binging Fargo because I definitely get vibes of both the OG Coen Brothers classic and what Noah Hawley has been doing on FX with its period setting and a cast of interesting characters involved in an escalating crime caper. The movie is out on HBO Max on July 1st and you can check out the trailer below.
