Amazon and Netflix Are Bringing the Slasher Back in October (Trailer)
Netflix featured the fantastic slasher throwback Fear Street trilogy this past summer and Netflix and Prime Video are bringing more masked killers and murdered teens to their streaming platforms in October.
Prime Video is rebooting I Know What You Did Last Summer as a TV series starring Madison Iseman, Brianne Tju, Ezekiel Goodman, Ashley Moore, Sebastian Amoruso, Fiona Rene, Cassie Beck, Brooke Bloom and Bill Heck. The series is based on the original 1973 horror novel that also inspired the 90s movie that starred Jennifer Love Hewitt, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ryan Phillipe, and Freddie Prinze Jr. James Wan is one of the producers on the series and directing as well with Craig William Macneill directing the pilot. The first four episodes of the series will drop on October 15th and new episodes will drop each subsequent week.
Netflix has There’s Someone Inside Your House, which funnily enough actually references I Know What You Did Last Summer in its trailer. The movie stars Sydney Park and is based on the book of the same name by Stephanie Perkins. James Wan is also involved in this one along with Stranger Things’ Shawn Levy and it follows a group of graduating seniors that are being targeted by a masked killer that reveals their darkest secret and then murders them. The movie is out on Netflix on October 6th.
