Kamala Khan Enters the MCU in June (Trailer)
A fan favorite since she debuted in the comics in 2013, Kamala Khan makes her way into live-action for the Disney+ MCU show Ms. Marvel in June. Iman Vellani plays Kamala, a Pakistani-American high school in New Jersey who is a massive fan of superheroes, Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel in particular. In the comics, Kamala was exposed to the Terrigen Mists and was revealed to be an Inhuman, gaining the power to contort, expand and grow her body but it seems like the MCU’s version of Kamala gains a cosmic energy-charged bracelet that gives her more energy-based powers. Along with dealing with all the normal teen girl high school drama, Kamala has to learn to control her new powers and deal with some sort of threat, the nature of which we don’t really know anything about. Expect lots of setup for The Marvels aka Captain Marvel 2, which is coming next year and will feature Kamala teaming up with her hero Carol Danvers (Brie Larson) along with Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Paris), who gained her cosmic powers in Wandavision. Ms. Marvel debuts on June 8th on Disney+ and you can check out the trailer below.
