The Last of Us Comes to HBO in 2023 (Trailer)

One of the most anticipated of all the upcoming Playstation Productions projects, Naughty Dog’s critically acclaimed The Last of Us comes to HBO next year.  Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey star as Joel and Ellie, who must make a journey across the post-apocalyptic United States after a global infection of a certain fungus has turned millions into “Clickers”, blind but highly aggressive creatures.  Ellie is the first person who seems to be immune to the fungus and Joel’s mission is to get her to a facility in Salt Lake City so that a cure may possibly be created from her blood.  Anna Torv, Gabriel Luna, Nick Offerman, Melanie Lynskey, Nico Parker, Storm Reid, and Lamar Johnson co-star with the game’s Merle Dandridge reprising her role as Marlene, and Jeffrey Pierce, Troy Baker and Ashley Johnson playing new characters.  Craig Mazin, who brought us the horrifically great Chernobyl, and Naughty Dog’s Neil Druckman are showrunning the series.  Check out the trailer below.
