Jason Statham is a Super Spy in Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre (Trailer)
Originally scheduled for release in early 2022, Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre ended up in limbo when it got pulled from the schedule with no new release date. The movie has since seen release internationally at the beginning of this year and now, finally, we have a new US release date from Lionsgate, who took over the US distribution, in March. Coming from Guy Ritchie, Operation Fortune stars Jason Statham as super spy Orson Fortune. Along with his team which includes Aubrey Plaza and Bugzy Malone, Fortune is tasked by his handler to retrieve a device called “The Handle”, a valuable device of unknown use, before it can be bought by billionaire arms dealer Nathan Jasmine (Hugh Grant). In order to infiltrate Jasmine’s operation, Fortune and his team blackmail Hollywood actor Danny Francesco (Josh Hartnett), Jasmine’s favorite actor, into getting chummy with the arms dealer so they can track the deal for The Handle and stop it. Cary Elwes and Eddie Marsan co-star. It looks like it has some big Man from UNCLE vibes, which was one of the most fun Guy Ritchie movies in recent memory, so hopefully, this does capture that movie’s style, action, and humor. Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre arrives in theaters on March 3rd and you can check out the new trailer below.
