The Story of Tetris Comes to Apple TV+ in March (Trailer)

One of the greatest video games ever made, the story of how Tetris journeyed from the depths of the Soviet Union to a worldwide phenomenon is a wild one that will be told on Apple TV+ with the movie Tetris.  Taron Egerton stars as Henk Rogers, who designed Japan’s first major turn-based RPG, The Black Onyx, and founded Bullet Proof Software along with, eventually, The Tetris Company.  After seeing an early version of Tetris, Rogers is determined to bring the game to the masses, working with Nintendo to try and secure the rights to publish it.  Rogers has to travel to the Soviet Union and work with the game’s designer, Alexey Pajitnov (Nikita Yefremov) and negotiate with the Soviet government.  Toby Jones, Rick Yune, Togo Iwawa, Ben Miles, Ken Yamamura, and Roger Allam co-star, and the movie was directed by Jon S. Baird, who previously directed movies like Filth and Stan & Ollie.  Tetris hits Apple TV+ on March 31st and you can check out the trailer below.
