Disney Brings Back Peter Pan in April with Peter Pan & Wendy (Trailer)
Coming off the superb The Green Knight, director David Lowery is returning to the world of Disney with the remake of Peter Pan, Peter Pan & Wendy. Lowery previously remade Pete’s Dragon for Disney and Peter Pan & Wendy is debuting exclusively on Disney+. Alexander Molony stars as Peter Pan, who brings Wendy Darling (Ever Anderson) and her brothers to the magical world of Neverland, where they meet the Lost Boys but also face off against the devious Captain Hook (Jude Law). Alan Tudyk, Joshua Pickering, Jacobi Jupe, Jim Gaffigan, and Yara Shahidi co-star. The live-action Disney remakes have been extremely hit or miss but the Pete’s Dragon did something significantly different than the original and hopefully Lowery can put a new spin on something as well-worn as Peter Pan. It seems like the main thing is making Wendy much more active in the adventure, including helping to duel the pirates, and it seems to have Lowery’s visual style as well. Peter Pan & Wendy hits Disney+ on April 28th and you can check out the trailer below.
