The TMNT are Back in August for Some Mutant Mayhem (Trailer)
After the Michael Bay produced TMNT duology, it looks like the Turtles are looking to the Spiderverse for inspiration with their next big screen adventure, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem. Produced by Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen (who also co-stars as Bebop, the new movie brings things back to the beginning as the Turtles emerge into the surface world after years of being sheltered and trained underground by Master Splinter (Jackie Chan). The Turtle befriend reporter April O’Neil (Ayo Edebiri) but they find themselves targetted by an army of mutants working for a mysterious crime syndicate. Paul Rudd, Giancarlo Esposito, Maya Rudolph, John Cena, Rose Byrne, Natasia Demetriou, Ice Cube, Post Malone, Hannibal Buress, Brady Noon, Nicolas Cantu, Shamon Brown Jr, and Micah Abbey round out the voice cast. The movie is directed by Jeff Rowe, who wrote The Mitchells vs The Machines and worked on Gravity Falls and Disenchantment, and Kyler Spears, who worked on Amphibia, We Bare Bears, and Clarence. Mutant Mayhem is in theaters on August 4th and you can check out the trailer below.
