Blue Beetle Shape Shifts Into Theaters in August (Trailer)

Originally planned to be an HBO Max exclusive, Blue Beetle is flying into theaters in August as one of the final DC movies in the current incarnation of the cinematic universe.  Cobra Kai’s Xolo Maridueña stars as Jamie Reyes, who inadvertently comes into possession of the Blue Beetle scarab, which fuses into his body and gives him an exoskeleton armor that can fly and shapeshift its appendages into whatever Jamie can think of.  While equally scared and excited at first, Jamie soon finds himself being targetted by Victoria Kord (Susan Sarandon), who wants the scarab armor for her own nefarious schemes.  Adrianna Barraza, George Lopez, Harvey Guillen, Raoul Max Trujillo, Bruna Marquezine, Elpidia Carrillo  and Damián Alcázar co-star.  Angel Manuel Soto, who previously directed Charm City Kings for HBO Max, directed the movie.  Blue Beetle is out on August 18th and you can check out the trailer below.
