Everything Action Theater: Revenge of the Ninja

Celebrating its 40th anniversary today, you can watch the Cannon Films classic Revenge of the Ninja for the latest Everything Action Theater.  Starring Ninja legend Sho Kosugi, Revenge of the Ninja finds Kosugi as Cho Osaki, whose family, except for his mother and infant son, are murdered by a rival clan.  Cho defeats the evil ninja but swears off the way of the ninja afterward, instead moving to America to help his business partner Braden (Arthur Roberts) open a gallery for Oriental artwork.  Braden, unbeknownst to Cho, is using the gallery as a front for a drug smuggling operation and he is also a master of ninjutsu, using his lethal skills to murder his rivals.  Cannon legend Sam Firstenberg directed the movie and it is full of insane ninja action and over-the-top moments.  The movie was also a massive hit, making $14 million at the box office and leading into the third movie of Cannon’s “Ninja Trilogy”, the somehow even more insane Ninja III: The Domination.  You can check out the entire movie below thanks to Archive.org.
