Percy Jackson Comes to Disney+ in December (Trailer)
Rick Riordan’s tale of modern-day Greek Mythology gets another shot at an adaptation in December when Percy Jackson comes to Disney+. Adapting the first book in the series, The Lightning Thief, Walker Scobell stars as Percy Jackson, who learns that he is a demigod whose father was a Greek god. Invited to join other demigods at Camp Half-Blood to help discover and control his godly powers, Percy is accused by Zeus (Lance Reddick) of stealing his lightning bolt and must go on a quest with his friends to recover the bolt and discover the true thief. Leah Sava Jeffries, Aryan Simhadri, Virginia Kull, Glynn Turman, Jason Mantzoukas, Megan Mullally, Timm Sharp, Adam Copeland, Dior Goodjohn and Charlie Bushnell co-star. Rick Riordan is involved as a writer and executive producer with the show developed by Jonathan E. Steinberg, who most recently executive produced See and The Old Man. Percy Jackson and The Olympians debuts on December 20th and you can check out the trailer below.
