True Detective Heads North for Night Country (Trailer)

It’s been over 5 years since the last chapter but True Detective returns in January and heads to Alaska for a frozen murder mystery in Night Country.  Jodie Foster and Kali Reis star as the mismatched law enforcement partners, who are investigating the mysterious disappearance of all 8 men working at the mysterious Tsalal Arctic Research Station.  It doesn’t help things that the disappearances have taken place when that part of Alaska is engulfed in 24 hours of darkness.  John Hawkes, Christopher Eccleston, Fiona Shaw, Finn Bennett, Anna Lambe, Aka Niviâna, Isabella Star LaBlanc, and Joel D. Montgrand co-star.  The show’s original creator and writer, Nic Pizzolatto is still an executive producer but Issa Lopez has taken over showrunner, writing and directing duties.  True Detective: Night Country arrives on January 14th on Max and you can check out the new trailer below.
