Glen Powell is a Hit Man for Richard Linklater in June (Trailer)
Coming off Top Gun: Maverick and the incredibly popular Anyone But You, Glen Powell is starring in (and co-wrote) the new Richard Linklater action/comedy, Hit Man. Based on an article from 2001 by Skip Hollandsworth for Texas Monthly, Powell plays Gary Johnson, a college professor and tech guy who also happens to work for the Houston police undercover by posing as a hit man, getting his “clients” arrested when they attempt to hire him. Things get turned upside down when he falls for one of his clients, played by Adria Arjona, and tries his best to save her from the situation she finds herself in. Austin Amelio, Retta, Sanjay Rao, Evan Holtzman, Molly Bernard, and Mike Markoff co-star. The movie debuted at the Venice International Film Festival in September last year and got rave reviews, with Netflix paying $20 million for the distribution rights. Hit Man arrives on Netflix on June 7th and there may be a theatrical release as well. Check out the trailer below.
