Lupita Nyong’o is The Wild Robot in September (Trailer)

Based on the best-selling novel by Peter Brown, Dreamworks is bringing The Wild Robot to theaters in September.  Lupito Nyong’o stars as ROZZUM Unit 734 aka “Roz”, a robot who crashlands on an uninhabited island.  Adapting to the island’s harsh conditions, Roz bonds with the island’s wildlife, including becoming the adoptive mother to an abandoned gosling.  Pedro Pascal, Catherine O’Hara, Stephanie Hsu, Bill Nighy, Kit Connor, Mark Hamill, Matt Berry and Ving Rhames co-star.  Chris Sanders, the director behind How to Train Your Dragon, wrote and directed the movie. It looks like it’s continuing the animation style that Dreamworks experimented with in the last Puss in Boots movie and also chasing the Spider-Verse movies.  It looks stunningly animated and seems like it will pull on the heartstrings.  The Wild Robot is out on September 20th and you can check out the trailer below.
