Glen Powell is a Fake Hit Man for Richard Linklater on Netflix (Trailer)
Along with co-writing the script, Glen Powell stars in Richard Linklater’s Hit Man, which hits select theaters in May before streaming on Netflix in June. Based on a true story, Powell is Glen Johnson, a college professor who moonlights as a fake hitman to assist the police in arresting people soliciting murder for hire services. Things get complicated when Maddy Masters (Adria Arjona) seeks a hitman and Johnson falls for her. Letting her go, Johnson finds out that Maddy’s husband, whom she wanted killed, has turned up dead. Austin Amelio, Retta, Sanjay Rao, Evan Holtzman, Molly Bernard, and Mike Markoff co-star. The movie debuted last September at the Venice International Film Festival and earned rave reviews for Powell’s performance and Linklater’s directing. Hit Man is out in limited theaters on May 24th and then streams on Netflix on June 7th. Check out the trailer below.
