Epic Fantasy Streams This Summer on Max and Prime Video (Trailers)

Two of the biggest fantasy drama series are back this summer with their second seasons, and both House of the Dragon and The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power have released new trailers.

House of the Dragon picks up from the first season with full on civil war breaking out in Westeros between the two Targaryen clans, the “Blacks”, led by Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D’Arcy), and the “Greens” led by Queen Mother Alicent Hightower (Olivia Cooke) and her son, King Aegon II (Tom Glynn-Carney).  While the two factions build up alliances and armies, there are potential enemies within their ranks as well.  Season 2 of House of the Dragon begins on June 16th on HBO/Max.

The Rings of Power is back on August 29th. It finds Sauron (Charlie Vickers) taking on the form of an elf and continuing his quest to bind Middle Earth to his evil will and manipulate people and events in his favor. Even though they’ve forged three Rings of Power, Galadriel (Morfydd Clark), Celebrimbor (Charles Edwards), and Elrond (Robert Aramayo) have to face the threat of both Sauron and the newly created land of Mordor and its Orc army.
