Those About To Die Enters the Arena in July on Peacock (Trailer)
Peacock is entering the gladiatorial combat arena in Ancient Rome with their new series Those About to Die, which starts streaming in July. Starring Anthony Hopkins as Emperor Vespasian, the show is set in the world of gladiators and other games of Ancient Rome and follows some of the people looking to use the games to gain wealth and power and others who are forced to compete. Iwan Rheon, Dimitri Leonidas, Jojo Macari, Gabriella Pession, and Sara Martins-Court co-star. Roland Emmerich executive produces and directs the series, and it’s based on the book Those About to Die from 1958, which also inspired Ridley Scott’s Gladiator. Those About to Die hits Peacock on July 18th, and you can check out the trailer below.
