Batman Comes to Amazon in August with Batman: Caped Crusader (Trailer)
Batman makes his way to Prime Video in August with the new animated series Batman: Caped Crusader. Coming from producers Bruce Timm, JJ Abrams, and Matt Reeves, Batman: Caped Crusader is not a continuation of Timm’s iconic Batman: The Animated Series, but it does seem to take stylistic cues from it while going darker than it ever could, as Batman (Hamish Linklater) battles the forces of evil and corruption in a Gotham City overrun by gangsters and costumed villains. Christina Ricci voices Selina Kyle, Jamie Chung voices Harley Quinn and, former Batman, Diedrich Bader voices Harvey Dent. Minnie Driver and McKenna Grace are also in the cast, but their roles have not yet been revealed. Comics legend Ed Brubaker, who is no stranger to Batman, had worked on various comics for DC and wrote the first season. All 10 Batman: Caped Crusader episodes arrive on Prime on August 1st; you can check out the trailer below.
