Halle Berry Recruits Mark Wahlberg into the World of Espionage in The Union (Trailer)
After making movies with Paramount+ and Apple TV+, Mark Wahlberg rotates to Netflix for his next film, The Union, hitting the streaming service in August. Wahlberg is Mike McKenna, a blue-collar construction worker in New Jersey. When an old high school flame, Roxanne Hall (Halle Berry), reenters his life, he finds himself dragged into the world of international espionage, as Roxanne works for The Union, a group of spies led by JK Simmons. The list of all the identities of The Union’s agents has been stolen, and the organization needs someone from outside the group they can trust to help them get the list back. Mike trains to be a secret agent and also seems to rekindle the sparks he had with Roxanne: Mike Colter, Alice Lee, Jessica De Gouw, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, and Jackie Earle Haley co-star. The movie is directed by Julian Farino, who has directed chiefly TV shows like Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Hello Ladies, Entourage, and In Treatment. The Union arrives on Netflix on August 16th, and you can check out the trailer below.
