Brad Pitt Hits the Track Next Year in F1 (Trailer)
With the full cooperation of Formula One, Joseph Kosinski goes from the skies to the track for next year’s racing drama, F1. Brad Pitt stars as Sonny Hayes, a former Formula One driver forced to retire following a horrific crash. He’s dragged out of retirement by Formula One team owner Ruben (Javier Bardem) so Sonny can mentor Ruben’s hotshot new driver, Joshua Pearce (Damson Idris). Kerry Condon, Tobias Menzies, Kim Bodina, Shea Whigham, and Joseph Balderrama co-star. All ten Formula One teams will appear as themselves in the movie. It seems that Kosinski is bringing the intense “you are there” style cinematography that he got for Top Gun: Maverick to F1, with cameras in the cockpits of the cars as they race around the tracks. F1 will hit theaters on June 27th next year and will be on Apple TV+ sometime after its theatrical run, as the movie is an Apple Original Films co-production. Check out the trailer below.
