Terminator Gets Animated in August with Terminator Zero on Netflix (Trailer)

There have been many iterations of The Terminator over the years, and Netflix is bringing anime to the franchise in August with Terminator Zero.  Coming from Production I.G, who previously brought us anime like Ghost in the Shell, is the animation studio behind Terminator Zero, and Timothy Olyphant stars as the titular cyborg assassin.  Sent to Japan just before August 29th, 1997, The Terminator is tasked with killing Malcolm Lee (Andre Holland), a scientist working on an AI competitor to Skynet.  Sent back from 2022, Eiko (Sonoya Mizuno) is a Resistance fighter tasked with protecting Malcolm and his family.  The animation looks stellar, as is expected from Production I.G. Hopefully, it brings some goodwill back to the franchise after the last few movies in the series have fallen flat.  Terminator Zero debuts on Netflix on August 29th.
