John Woo Remakes The Killer for Peacock (Trailer)

John Woo is remaking one of his action classics, 1989’s The Killer, for Peacock, with Nathalie Emmanuel taking over for Chow Yun-Fat.  Emmanuel plays Zee, aka “The Queen of the Dead”, one of the world’s most feared assassins.  While on a hit, she spares the life of a young woman blinded in the crossfire, played by Diana Silvers.  This puts her in the crosshairs of the organization she works for, as well as a local police officer, played by Omar Sy.  Sam Worthington, Saïd Taghmaoui, Hugo Diego Garcia, Aurélia Agel and Grégory Montel co-star.  Brian Helgeland was one of the screenwriters on the movie, and it’s coming directly to Peacock on August 23rd.  Check out the trailer below.
