Sega’s beloved video game series Yakuza, aka Like a Dragon, is coming to Prime Video in October with a live-action TV series, Like a Dragon: Yakuza.  Ryoma Takeuchi will play Kazuma Kiryu, the Dragon of Dojima, and the series follows him in both 1995 and 2005 and his journey as a Yakuza enforcer with a strong sense of justice and honor.  Kento Kaku will play his childhood friend Akira Nishikiyama, and the show is based on the first game in the series.  Masaharu Take, who directed Netflix’s The Naked Director, is directing the series.  The series’ first three episodes will debut on October 24th, and the final three will debut on November 1st.  This will be the third time Yakuza has been translated to live-action, following the 2006 tie-in Like a Dragon: Prologue and the movie Yakuza: Like a Dragon, directed by Takashi Miike.  You can check out the first teaser for the series from SDCC below.
