Chris Jericho Hosts a Dark Match on Shudder (Trailer)
Normally a term to refer to a non-televised wrestling event, Dark Match gets a new horrific meaning thanks to Shudder later this month. The wrestling horror movie stars Chris Jericho as the leader of a group of Satanists who lure in a group of wrestlers for an event that turns out to be a deadly battle for survival as the matches are to the death, and each death is a sacrifice to unleash the Satanist’s dark master. Sara Canning, Steven Ogg, and Michael Eklund co-star. It looks like it has some Green Room vibes mixed with the over-the-top spectacle of pro wrestling. Dark Match was directed by Lowell Dean, who previously directed 2014’s Wolfcop. Dark Match is out on Shudder on January 31st and you can check out the trailer below.
