Death is Back in Final Destination: Bloodlines
We talked about the first entry in the Final Destination series last week on the Everything Actioncast, and the series returns to theaters in May with the sixth entry, Final Destination: Bloodlines. Putting another spin on the formula, Bloodlines follows Stefanie (Kaitlyn Santa Juana), who learns that Death is out to kill her entire family. Her grandmother Iris (Gabrielle Rose) had a premonition of a disaster decades ago. She prevented dozens of deaths, but because she was supposed to die, none of her family was supposed to exist, and Death is looking to balance the scales. Teo Briones, Richard Harmon, Owen Patrick Joyner, Rya Kihlstedt, Anna Lore, Brec Bassinger, and Tony Todd (in his final film role) co-star. The movie is co-directed by Zach Lipovsky and Adam Stein. It looks like a fun way to celebrate the franchise’s 25th anniversary, and it seems like there are several references and easter eggs to the prior movies in the franchise. Final Destination: Bloodlines is out on May 16th, and you can check out the trailer below.
