Karate and Kung-Fu Combine in Karate Kid: Legends (Trailer)
If you’re still jonesing for some karate after Cobra Kai wrapped up earlier this year, you can prepare for Karate Kid: Legends, which hits theaters in May. Combining the worlds of kung-fu and karate, Mr. Han (Jackie Chan) from the 2010 reboot seeks the help of Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) to train a kung-fu prodigy named Li Fong (Ben Wang) for the city’s 5 Boroughs martial arts tournament. Combining Han’s kung-fu with Daniel’s Miyagi-do, Li will face the bullies that have been harassing him and live up to the memory of his brother. The movie is set three years after Cobra Kai and, while the trailer doesn’t show anything explicit, there should be some nods to the Netflix series outside of Daniel’s involvement. Jonathan Entwistle directed the movie and it arrives in theaters on May 30th. Check out the new trailer below.
