The slasher sequel I Still Know What You Did Last Summer came out 25 years ago today on November 13th, 1998 and, while it co-starred Brandy, it was actually Jennifer Love Hewitt who had a song on the movie’s soundtrack, “How Do I Deal”.
Musical Montage: Goldfinger “More Today Than Yesterday”
The Waterboy turns 25 today, originally released in theaters on November 6th, 1998. Along with a soundtrack full of classic rock from the likes of Rush, The Allman Brothers, and Credence Clearwater Revival, the punk rock band Goldfinger performed a cover of the song “More Today Than Yesterday”, which played over the movie’s credits.

Sounding more like the opening to an 80s sitcom than a horror movie, you nevertheless hear “Say the Word” by The Facade Band at least 3 times over the course of the ridiculous Primal Rage from 1988.
Musical Montage: Muse “Thought Contagion”
Coming out in 2018 off the album Simulation Theory, Muse’s “Thought Contagion” has some creepy vibes in the music but it’s being featured in Musical Montage for its neon-drenched music video that is partially an homage to “Thriller”.

The Nightmare on Elm Street series has had an ecclectic mix of music on the various movie soundtracks from The Fat Boys to Dokken and for A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child, rap group Whodini performed “Anyway I Gotta Swing It”.
