Game Review: Wallace & Gromit in The Grand Getaway
I’ve been a huge Wallace & Gromit/Aardman Animation fan since I first saw The Wrong Trousers as a kid randomly on PBS and have loved all the other entries in the series, from the other shorts to Curse of the Were-Rabbit. So it should go without saying that I was extremely excited for the charming duo’s first foray into VR, The Grand Getaway, which is out now on Meta Quest 2, 3, and Pro from Astrea, Aardman, AtlasV and No Ghost Studio.

We tried a remade Atari classic with Bezerk: Recharged, suited up as a cybernetic ninja again in Ghostrunner II, tried to solve a mystery in Forest Grove, and more! As we get ready for spooky fall fun, we checked out a new batch of games this September. We dug into the existential dread of (i) doesn’t exist, blasted away at the fiendish Gazzlers in VR, puzzle platformed through 80s action movies in It’s A Wrap, played arcade-style games in two new collections, and more!

As the summer winds down, we’ve spent some of the last dog days of the season checking out new games for the latest Gamebox 2.0. We reviewed another reimagined Atari classic with Quantum: Recharged, tested our ninja abilities with Ninja or Die: Shadow of the Sun, raised a squadron of soldiers in Arcadian Atlas, and more!

As the summer days get hotter, so do the action-packed games we got to try out this month. This July brought a lot of fun retro titles for a new generation like cult classic FPS Rise of the Triad and the RayStorm X RayCrisis HD Collection.
