Riding high from Spider-Man: No Way Home, Sony crashed back down to Earth for the unbelievably bland Morbius, the latest movie in their bizarre Spider-Man side universe.

As we’re gearing up for the return of PAX East next month, we checked out a batch of new games to review.  We explored a futuristic Aztec society in Aztech Forgotten Gods, tried to solve an FMV whodunnit? in Who Pressed Mute on Uncle Marcus?, drove a high-tech spy car in Agent Intercept, tried to survive frozen horrors in Expedition Zero, and more.

Out now on Digital and DVD from Lionsgate, Invincible has a cool premise similar to something like Bloodshot or Universal Soldier and solid stars but squanders the opportunity for cool action and has a meandering plot that has way too much downtime.

Ryan Reynolds and Shawn Levy re-team after last year’s Free Guy for the solid and thoroughly entertaining new Netflix time travel action movie, The Adam Project, where Reynolds plays a fighter pilot from the year 2050 who travels back in time on a rescue mission but ends up in 2022 and meets his 12 year old self, played by newcomer Walker Scobell.

After years of anticipation, the newest incarnation of the Dark Knight hit theaters this past weekend and director Matt Reeves has delivered one of the best versions of Batman that feels like the cinematic version of the best Batman graphic novels.

While huge games like Horizon: Forbidden West and Elden Ring are taking up most of the gaming spotlight, there were a bunch of smaller games that a few people might have missed. We experienced the horrors of war in Martha is Dead, fought against monsters with Elf magic in About in Elf, battled zombies pinball-style in Zombie Rollerz: Pinball Heroes, and more.  Check out everything we got to play below in this month’s game reviews in the Gamebox 2.0.

After years in development hell, Uncharted finally hit theaters as the movie version of the excellent Naughty Dog video game series with Tom Holland as treasure hunter Nathan Drake and Mark Wahlberg as his mentor and veteran thief Victor “Sully” Sullivan as the duo races to find Magellan’s lost treasure, a stash of gold worth billions.

Robert Bronzi is back as a street-tough Catholic priest who is tasked to visit the home of a wealthy British family and figure out if they are the victims of demonic possession and banish the demon if they are in the new horror movie Exorcist Vengeance.

It’s a new year and we have new games to check out for this month’s Gamebox 2.0.  We got classic Resident Evil vibes in a compact form in Heaven Dust 2, hack and slashed with a high-tech mech suit in Blackwind, fought aliens and undead in Mushroom Wars 2, used camera powers to solved puzzles in Filmechanism, and more. It was time to flip cards, roll dice, and move meeples. Pax Unplugged 2021 arrived in Philadelphia to host three days of tabletop fun. Held December 8 – 10th in the Philadelphia Convention  Center, Unplugged brought together tabletop vendors, game makers, panelists, and fans, for some analog fun. During the event, we got to check out some new titles, reimagined classics, and a few early builds of upcoming projects. Check out our experience below.
