Musical Montage: The Galaxy Rangers “No Guts, No Glory”
The Adventures of the Galaxy Rangers was one of the many 80’s cartoons that combined the Wild West and Sci Fi (See also Bravestarr) but Galaxy Rangers seems to have been the one that had the edge with better animation, darker stories and cooler sci fi gadgets. It also had the advantage of arguably the greatest theme song of all time, “No Guts, No Glory”. Performed by John Von Tongeren, under the stage name Johnny Vancouver, it is everything radical about the 80’s and, it was so good, there was even a music video where the Galaxy Rangers perform the song themselves, even though I don’t think they had any sort of musical background or interest on the show.
