Musical Montage: Rhinestone
With three Rockys and one Rambo under his belt, Stallone was at peak popularity and power in 1984, which resulted in him believing he could become a country star in the bizarre musical adventure, Rhinestone. Co-starring with Dolly Parton in a weird take on My Fair Lady, Stallone is an uncouth taxi driver who Dolly makes a deal with to turn him into a country star in order to win a bet against her evil manager. Stallone doesn’t so much sing as growl and yell his way through such classic songs like “Stay Out of My Bedroom” and “Drinkenstein”, check them out below.
