Pennywise Returns in the All New IT (Trailer)
Stephen King’s classic horror tale that was adapted into a cult TV mini-series is returning in a new movie this September with the new take on IT. Starring Bill Skarsgard as Pennywise, the evil demonic clown haunting the sewers of Derry, ME and a slew of new kids in the vein of the Stand By Me/Goonies/Stranger Things gangs, it’s directed by Andrés Muschietti, who directed Mama. It looks suitably creepy but Tim Curry set the bar so high as the prior Pennywise that this new version is going to have to be great to not pale in comparison. The design of Pennywise is definitely different, as he looks more like a Victorian era clown than the warped take on Bozo that the 80’s version did, which seems to fit more in line with the apparent decades of murder and disappearance Pennywise is responsible for. The movie is out on September 8th and you can check out the trailer below.
