Kong Bows to No One in the First Godzilla vs Kong Trailer

The first gigantic blockbuster that will be part of Warner Bros/HBO Max’s audacious/controversial release plan of putting out ever 2021 WB movie in theaters and HBO Max day and date arrives in March with Godzilla vs Kong.  The fourth entry in the Monsterverse franchise, the Kong we met in Kong: Skull Island takes on the Godzilla of 2014’s Godzilla and 2019’s Godzilla: King of the Monsters in the ultimate battle of Titans.  A fully grown Kong has been captured from Skull Island by Monarch(?) and gets a rude welcome back to the outside world by Godzilla, who has gone crazy and is going on a rampage around the world.  There are hints that possibly this might be the actual Godzilla and maybe Mechagodzilla in disguise but, either way, there looks to be tons of kaiju action on display.  This one also seems to have the most Pacific Rim style, especially what looks like a stunning battle in a neon-lit city that is either Tokyo or Hong Kong.  The movie is out on March 26th on HBO Max and theaters and you can check out the first trailer below.
