The West Gets Brutal on Netflix in American Primeval (Trailer)
Director Peter Berg brings us a brutal-looking new Western on Netflix next week (1/9) on Netflix, American Primeval. Taylor Kitsch and Betty Gilpin lead an all-star cast as the series follows a group of characters trying to survive the unforgiving landscape of the American West. Cultural clashes erupt between different religious groups and between the incoming settlers and the Native American tribes who already live in the area. Kim Coates, Jai Courtney, Shea Whigham, Dane Dehaan, and Saura Lightfoot Leon co-star. Mark L. Smith, who co-wrote The Revenant, wrote the series, and it feels like it’s picking up where The Revenant left off regarding style and tone.
