Musical Montage: Hoku “Perfect Day”

Legally Blonde debuted 25 years ago today, kicking off with “Perfect Day” by Hawaiian pop star Hoku.  Hoku had a hit the previous year with “Another Dumb Blonde” from the Snow Day soundtrack, which became the tenth most-requested video on MTV and reached #27 on the Billboard charts.  “Perfect Day” was released to radio in June 2001 but didn’t do anything on the Billboard charts, it has become synonymous with Legally Blonde and has accumulated over 40 million plays on Spotify.  In the music video, Legally Blonde star Reese Witherspoon watches and lip-syncs along to the song while Hoku performs in a park and engages in activities like shopping for clothes.  Check it out below.
