Russell Crowe is The Pope’s Exorcist in April (Trailer)

Every year we get at least one big exorcism/demonic possession movie and this year we have none other than Russell Crowe battling demons in The Pope’s Exorcist.  Based on the actual case files of Father Gabriele Amorth, the Chief Exorcist for The Vatican, Crowe plays Father Amorth, who takes on a case of a possessed young boy but stumbles into a secret buried for centuries that The Vatican wants to keep hidden.  Daniel Zovatto and Alex Essoe co-star with Franco Nero(!) playing The Pope and Ralph Ineson’s singular bellow as the voice of the demon.  Julius Avery, who previously brought us Samaritan and Overlord, is directing the movie.  The Pope’s Exorcist is out on April 14th and you can check out the trailer below.
