The Haunted Mansion Opens Its Doors in July (Trailer)
20 years after their last attempt at bringing The Haunted Mansion to the big screen, Disney is trying again with a new spooky blockbuster version of Haunted Mansion hitting theaters in July. Rosario Dawson stars as Gabbie, who purchases the titular haunted house, unaware of its ghostly occupants, and then recruits a motley crew that consists of Owen Wilson, Danny DeVito, Tiffany Haddish, and LaKeith Stanfield to help investigate the spirits and figure out some way to exorcise them. Jared Leto co-stars as the Hatbox Ghost (who seems to be possibly the main antagonist) with Jamie Lee Curtis playing Madame Leota. It looks like it will have a lot more references and set pieces based around the attraction, including the stretching room and even a bit of Doom Buggy action and going a bit darker than the Eddie Murphy version. Justin Simien, who directed the movie and TV versions of Dear White People and Bad Hair, is directing and the movie is out on July 28th. Check out the trailer below.
