Disney+ Gets Goosebumps in October (Trailer)
After the two recent movies, Goosebumps returns to the small screen with a new Disney+ series based on the RL Stine horror books. Justin Long stars as Nathan, the new English teacher in Port Lawrence. Moving into the old Biddle House, where something horrific happened in the past, Nathan is possessed by a spirit looking for vengeance. Other secrets and dark forces reveal themselves and five teenagers decide to investigate and push back the evil to save their town. Ana Yui Puig, Miles McKenna, Will Price, Zack Morris, Isa Briones, Rachael Harris and Rob Huebel co-star. Rob Letterman, who directed the first Jack Black Goosebumps movie, and Nicholas Stoller created the series. It looks from the trailer that there seems to be a Say Cheese or Die! cursed camera, the Cuckoo Clock of Doom, and, of course, Slappy the Dummy as direct Goosebumps references and hopefully more for old-school fans. It also looks darker than the recent movies, so maybe there will be some genuine scares going on. The first five episodes of Goosebumps arrive on October 13th, with a new episode each week after that for a 10-episode first season. You can check out the trailer below.
