FX’s Historical Epic Shogun Arrives in February Next Year (Trailer)

Based on the beloved best-selling novel by James Clavell, FX is bringing Shogun to FX in February.  Previously adapted in 1980 with an NBC series starring Richard Chamberlain and Toshiro Mifune, the FX series stars Cosmo Jarvis as John Blackthorne, an English sailor who is shipwrecked off the coast of Japan in 1600 and becomes involved in the growing power struggle between the various daimyo.  Hiroyuki Sanda plays the powerful daimyo Lord Yoshi Toranaga and Anna Sawai plays Lady Mariko.  Tadanobu Asano, Fumi Nikaido, Tokuma Nishioka and Takehiro Hira co-star.  Rachel Kondo and Justin Marks co-created the series, which will be 10 episodes.  You can check out the trailer for Shogun below.
