Dev Patel is the Monkey Man in April (Trailer)

Dev Patel makes his directorial debut while also writing and starring in the upcoming action revenge thriller, Monkey Man, hitting theaters in April.  Executive produced by Jordan Peele, Patel is Kid, who is scraping by on the fringes of society as a fighter in a monkey mask who takes a beating from more popular fighters.  When he finds a way to infiltrate the high society of the city, he decides to use his burning rage and fighting skills to get justice for himself and all the other poor citizens who are abused and forgotten by the upper class.  It looks like it will have some awesome John Wick-style action sequences and Dev Patel seems more than capable of being a kick-ass action star.  Monkey Man was originally going to be a Netflix release but it got moved to a full theatrical release and it will hit theaters on April 5th.  Check out the trailer below.
